My impersonation of Steve McQueen in 'The Great Escape'-riding bikes for me was always just that, and on this occasion in Thailand exploring the countryside.

We had just run up a mountain in Nepal about 2000 metres high, with no thought about how cold it would be on top or who had brought the picnic lunch (nobody, of course). This amazing moment was captured with us standing on top of the mountain, looking across to Everest and Anapurna, with prayer flags fluttering in the breeze. It reminds me of a dream I once had. Guru told me to 'run across the Himalayas'. Wow, what an adventure! It was in the days when I was running crazy, and naturally I started planning the trip straight away. Then I got the inspiration to check the accuracy of the inner message. Guru's response came back: 'I meant to run inwardly, not literally!' Best laid plans . . .
